Responsibilities:
Create an annual strategy of events that promote and align with the store’s goals, and create customer and store interaction
Execute first-class events to drive sales, traffic, and community goodwill and engagement
Determine and coordinate events, including organizing the budget, advertising, staff, and services for event and venue needs
Work with Scheels Campus Marketing to create internal and external promotional pieces
Have a clear understanding of the Scheels brand and culture to lead the marketing office in public relations between Scheels and our customers via multiple internet platforms
Assist in overseeing the Social Media Associate to guide them in generating, editing, publishing, and sharing content on all social platforms
Provide project status updates to the store leader, leadership team, and Scheels Campus
Leadership experience independently or with a team, along with a strong knowledge of Scheels’ policies and applicable laws
Create and manage the marketing office budget
Identify and direct local community outreach opportunities, including the Helping Hands Program
Serve as the lead for community and customer contact for donation requests to foster and create partnerships
Ability to work assigned schedules, which may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Schedule will include 2-3 weekend days and 2-3 weeknights per month, including occasional travel/overnight stays
Must possess a valid driver’s license
Education & Experience:
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field; 2-5 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements:
Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.
Heavy work –
Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
