Regional MDS

Summit Healthcare is hiring on behalf of a company that operates in the hospital and health care industry, where strong clinical coordination, accurate assessment practices, and consistent regulatory standards are essential to high-quality care. This opportunity is suited to a nursing professional who can help bring structure, oversight, and best practices to MDS operations across multiple facilities.

As Regional MDS, you will play an important role in supporting assessment accuracy, reimbursement integrity, and clinical quality across a six-facility portfolio. You will work closely with facility leaders and MDS teams to strengthen processes, promote consistency, and help ensure teams are set up for success in a complex skilled nursing environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee MDS assessments and care planning across six healthcare facilities.
• Ensure accurate, timely submissions and compliance with CMS requirements.
• Audit clinical documentation and resolve assessment or reimbursement discrepancies.
• Train facility MDS coordinators on regulations, workflows, and best practices.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership to improve quality measures and outcomes.

Required Qualifications

• Active registered nurse license.
• 2+ years of experience in skilled nursing, with strong expertise in MDS assessments, RAI processes, and CMS regulations.
• Experience supporting MDS operations across multiple skilled nursing facilities.
• Knowledge of Medicare reimbursement and clinical documentation standards.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
