Quick Overview
Job Description
About Scaling.com
Scaling.com helps established business owners 10x their companies in three years or less. We work with entrepreneurs doing $1 million or more in revenue who are ready to stop being the bottleneck and build a company that scales. Our creative library includes books, podcasts, keynotes, live events, member interviews, case studies, trainings, webinars, founder content, and years of verified customer stories.
Why This Role Exists
Our Creative Strategists and Ad Writers develop angles from proven hooks and paid-media signals. They will give you the strategic idea, important lines, supporting sources, and a proposed flow. Your job is to figure out how that idea should look, sound, move, and hold attention as a finished direct-response video ad. We are looking for producer-editors who have already created video ads at the volume and quality required to support multiple millions of dollars in monthly ad spend.
You are not receiving a complete shot list with every choice already made. You are receiving a developed angle. You own the production thinking required to turn it into something persuasive.
This role combines producing and editing. You must be able to source or create the ingredients, make strong visual and audible decisions, and finish the work yourself.
Your Core Workflow
- Receive a developed angle, key lines, source material, and intended flow from a Creative Strategist and Ad Writer, along with any winners, losers, hook data, creative references, landing-page context, and testing requests supplied by our Head of Content and paid-media team.
- Understand the persuasive through line before opening the timeline. Know what the viewer should feel, believe, and do.
- Study the supplied references and decide how the creative will be used, where it will send the viewer, and how the angle can be made more persuasive. Continually contribute original treatments, competitor references, visual devices, and production ideas to the team's shared concept pool.
- Decide how the story should unfold visually and audibly.
- Determine what must be sourced, recorded, generated, designed, animated, or clarified.
- Arrange human voiceover or create and direct an AI voiceover when the concept requires it.
- Pull and organize B-roll, founder footage, podcast clips, live-event excerpts, testimonials, screenshots, graphics, and other approved source material.
- Generate or direct AI-assisted visual, graphics and supporting assets when original footage does not exist.
- Build the complete ad: edit, pacing, typography, motion graphics, visual storytelling, sound design, music, captions, color, and finishing.
- Create a cohesive visual and audible through line so the ad feels intentionally produced rather than assembled from disconnected assets.
- Work directly with the strategist when the concept needs clarification, but bring proposed solutions rather than transferring production ownership back to them.
- Create meaningful variations that test different openings, visual devices, pacing, proof, narration, or CTA treatment.
- Deliver review-ready, editable, source-traceable files in every required format.
- Review performance feedback supplied by the Head of Content and paid-media team and apply it to the next build.

- Audible storytelling
- Voiceover production
- B-roll sourcing
- AI asset generation
- Editing and pacing
- Motion graphics
- Typography and captions
- Sound design and music
- Meaningful variations

What Success Looks Like
- Developed angles become finished ads without requiring a frame-by-frame production plan.
- The visual and audible choices strengthen the argument instead of decorating it.
- The work feels cohesive even when it combines podcasts, testimonials, voiceover, B-roll, motion graphics, and generated elements.
- Human and AI-assisted production methods are used intentionally and remain editable.
- Core ads and meaningful variations move quickly without lowering the quality floor.
- Performance feedback from the Head of Content and paid-media team changes future production decisions.
What We Need to See
- A portfolio of direct-response video ads that produced measurable business results, not only cinematic or organic social work. Your past work should demonstrate the production volume, quality, and judgment required to sustain multiple millions of dollars in monthly ad spend.
- Clear personal ownership of producing, concept translation, editing, motion, sound, voiceover, finishing, and variations.
- Experience turning a loose but developed concept into a complete visual treatment.
- Strong editorial taste, visual storytelling, motion graphics, sound design, and attention control.
- Experience mixing long-form source material, original production, voiceover, B-roll, and generated assets into persuasive paid creative.
- A real week in which you shipped multiple high-intent assets while protecting quality.
- A repeatable AI-assisted production workflow that improved speed, output, or creative range without creating generic or uneditable work.
- Direct-marketing fluency across hooks, awareness, proof, objections, offers, CTAs, testing, and winner iteration.
This Role Is Not
- An editor waiting for a shot list
- A technician who ignores the offer
- An organic social position
- A producer who cannot execute
- Cosmetic variation at scale
- AI output without craft
- Beautiful work without response
How to Apply
Send one direct-response video ad you personally produced and finished. Explain what you received at the beginning, the audience, the angle, the most important visual and audible decisions, what you sourced or created, the variations, the measurable outcome, and your exact ownership.
Then show one repeatable AI-assisted production workflow from a finished project, including the editable result and what it changed in time, output, or quality.
