This employer is a globally recognised professional services company known for its deep expertise in technology and its commitment to supporting critical government and defense missions. They are seeking a skilled Technical Writer to contribute to impactful projects within enterprise IT.
The Role
- Create, update, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including schematics, manuals, and operational procedures.
- Develop and manage Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) to support project workflows and compliance.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and subject matter experts to gather and organize technical information.
- Ensure all documentation adheres to organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
- Review and edit existing documentation for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with current systems.
- Maintain version control and manage documentation repositories for accessibility and traceability.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Communications, English, or a related field (experience may be substituted).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Technical Writer, preferably in a technology-driven environment.
- Familiarity with industry-standard writing styles or government-specific guidelines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical information clearly.
- Experience developing and maintaining POA&Ms or similar project plans.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive in identifying documentation gaps.
- Active Top Secret clearance is required; ability to obtain SCI clearance.
