The team combines significant underwriting and structuring expertise with a flexible approach to capital deployment, working across sponsor-backed and non-sponsored situations. What the job involves
An opportunity to join a leading European private credit investment team, investing across a broad range of direct lending and opportunistic financing strategies.

• Evaluating and executing new investment opportunities across the European direct lending market, including LBOs, refinancings, acquisition financings and bespoke financing situations
• Underwriting and structuring senior secured debt investments, predominantly first-lien floating-rate instruments
• Analysing complex businesses, financial models and capital structures to assess creditworthiness, downside protection and potential returns
• Working on more complex and opportunistic transactions, including situations involving challenging capital structures, liquidity requirements and time-sensitive financing needs
• Conducting detailed financial, commercial and industry due diligence, working closely with management teams, sponsors and external advisers
• Monitoring existing portfolio investments, assessing performance and identifying potential risks and opportunities throughout the life of an investment

Who we are looking for

• Experience within investment banking, leveraged finance, debt advisory or private credit
• Strong financial modelling and analytical capabilities, with experience underwriting and analysing leveraged businesses
• Exposure to leveraged finance, direct lending, acquisition financing, refinancing or broader debt structuring
• A genuine interest in private credit and the European leveraged finance market, with an understanding of different capital structures and credit instruments
• Strong commercial judgement and the ability to assess downside risk, business fundamentals and investment opportunities
