Job Description
We re supporting a growing national business across the Water, Environmental and Infrastructure sectors, who looking to appoint an experienced HR Business Partner for a 9 month maternity cover contract.
This is a true Business Partnering position, working closely with senior leaders to understand business priorities and turn them into effective people plans.
You ll influence decisions across organisational change, workforce planning, performance, talent and leadership capability so a fantastic opportunity to put your skills & experience to great use in a position with a lot of autonomy.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
• Partner with senior leaders to shape and deliver people plans aligned with business priorities
• Coach, advise and challenge leaders on people, performance and organisational decisions
• Support organisational change, workforce planning and organisational design
• Lead succession planning, talent development and initiatives to strengthen leadership capability
• Provide senior level support on complex employee relations and employment matters
• Use people data and workforce insight to identify trends and support better business decisions
• Support employee engagement, retention and performance across the organisation
• Work closely with the wider People team to deliver a consistent HR approach across the business
• Build strong relationships across UK locations through regular engagement and site visits
Skills & Experience Required:
• Proven experience operating as an HR Business Partner within a complex, growing or multi-site organisation
• Strong experience partnering with senior leaders and influencing business decisions
• Broad experience across organisational change, workforce planning, performance, talent and employee relations
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and experience managing complex people matters
• Commercial mindset with the ability to understand business challenges and develop practical people solutions
• Confident coaching and appropriately challenging senior stakeholders
• Comfortable using HR data and insight to support decision making
• CIPD Level 5 or above preferred, or equivalent relevant experience
• Full UK driving licence with flexibility for some travel
Summary:
Position: HR Business Partner
Location: Eastleigh, hybrid working with national travel
Duration: 9 Month Fixed Term Contract initially (Mat Cover)
Salary: Competitive Salary/ Rate + Car Allowance + Bonus + Benefits
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Start: Notice dependent
