About the Role

Service Stream's Utilities division are currently seeking an experienced HSE Business Partner to join our Team. Reporting directly to the HSE Manager - Gas Operations, you will be responsible for the prevention of injuries and illness by partnering with local business management and workers to maintain a healthy and safe workplace. Based in Melbourne, VIC this position is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate.

Nature of position: Permanent, Full Time Location: Clayton, VIC Reporting Line: HSE Manager - Gas Operations

Key Responsibilities

• Providing support to our VIC Utilities gas project teams to ensure our company meets its Safety, Environment, Quality and client obligations
• Providing specialist HSE advice and support to the business
• Coaching and advising management and workers on meeting their work health and safety duties
• Supporting management and workers in the implementation of HSE policies, systems, programs, and initiatives and meeting local legislative requirements
• Promoting a safe and positive work culture and role model safety leadership principles
• Project field work, critical control effectiveness and investigations, verifying HSE management plans
• Assist business management in continually improving the company's risk management capabilities

About you

• Demonstrated experience in an HSE role with a strong quality background, highly regarded
• Working knowledge of Legislation, Standards and Codes and ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and AS 4801 standards
• Prior experience managing HSE requirements on major engineering or construction projects, with a strong track record in working effectively with project contractors is highly regarded
• Experience in auditing, investigation and environmental reporting
• Excellent communication and people management skills
• Gas, power, heavy industry or other utilities industry experience desirable
• Relevant qualification in WHS/OH&S and / or Environment or Engineering/Science
• Cert IV in Training and Assessment is desirable
