Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Validation Engineer with expertise in Automotive Cluster and Infotainment Systems Validation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in validating automotive ECUs, performing vehicle-level testing, and working with CAN communication protocols and CAPL scripting. The candidate should be capable of executing test cases, identifying issues, and collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure high-quality automotive software releases.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform validation and verification of Cluster and Infotainment systems.
- Execute functional, integration, regression, and vehicle-level validation.
- Develop, execute, and maintain validation test cases and test plans.
- Validate software features against system and customer requirements.
- Analyze CAN logs and troubleshoot communication issues.
- Develop and modify CAPL scripts for automation and testing.
- Perform testing using CAN tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer, or similar.
- Conduct vehicle-level testing and identify hardware/software integration issues.
- Report, track, and verify defects using defect management tools.
- Collaborate with software developers, system engineers, and hardware teams to resolve issues.
- Support release validation and production readiness activities.
- Participate in requirement reviews and provide validation feedback.
Required Skills
- 4 8 years of experience in Automotive Validation.
- Strong experience in Cluster Validation and/or Infotainment Validation.
- Good understanding of automotive communication protocols:
- CAN
- CAN FD (preferred)
- LIN (preferred)
- Hands-on experience with:
- CANoe
- CANalyzer
- CAPL Scripting
- Experience in Vehicle Validation.
- Experience in test execution, defect reporting, and root cause analysis.
- Good knowledge of automotive diagnostics.
- Experience in log analysis and debugging.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of Automotive Ethernet.
- Experience with UDS Diagnostics.
- Familiarity with AUTOSAR architecture.
- Experience with HMI validation.
- Understanding of Android Automotive or Linux-based infotainment systems.
- Exposure to automation frameworks.
- Experience with Jira, ALM, or other defect management tools.
- Knowledge of Agile development methodology.
