Mechanical Engineer

Location: Atlanta, Georgia (Hybrid)

Role Overview

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the rollout and production scaling of a mobile technology program. The ideal candidate will have a combination of mechanical design, CAD modeling, manufacturing support, and supplier coordination experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical engineering support for new product production rollout activities.
• Create, modify, and maintain 3D CAD models and technical drawings.
• Coordinate with suppliers to source, procure, and manufacture components.
• Identify and qualify new suppliers for mechanical parts and assemblies.
• Support environmental and product testing activities.
• Develop and maintain inventory structures for new parts and assemblies.
• Troubleshoot production and assembly issues, including on-site support at manufacturing and assembly locations as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development and production goals.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field with 2+ years of relevant experience; OR
• Associate degree and technical certifications (Machining, CNC, Manufacturing Technology, etc.) with 2+ years of relevant experience; OR
• 5+ years of hands-on mechanical engineering or manufacturing experience.

Required Skills

• Experience with 3D CAD design tools such as Autodesk Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Creo or similar platforms.
• Ability to create and interpret technical drawings.
• Strong understanding of mechanical tolerancing practices.
• Experience supporting manufacturing, production, or assembly operations.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing electronics enclosures or similar mechanical assemblies.
• Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Hands-on machining or fabrication experience.

Location & Travel

• Ability to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week, with a preference for 4 days per week.
• During peak production periods, onsite presence may be required up to 5 days per week.
