Senior Associate - Protein Chemistry - Onsite

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Senior Associate - Protein Chemistry - Onsite for a position with a Global Biotechnology Company located in Thousand Oaks, CA. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.
This role is for a highly motivated Sr. Associate to join a multidisciplinary Protein Therapeutics team focused on the engineering, production, assessment, and selection of large molecule drug candidates. The position will support the analysis, characterization, and/or purification of complex biologics that will be the next generation of large molecule therapeutics. This opportunity has two potential focus areas: Protein Analytics or Protein Purification.
Responsibilities:

• Analyze, characterize, and/or purify complex molecules for therapeutic drug candidates
• Contribute to the execution of protein purification and analytics capabilities
• Organize, analyze, and report findings to support lead candidate selection
• Partner with Project, Analytics, and Automation teams to advance the pipeline
• Operate and troubleshoot automation platforms for high throughput purification and analytics
• Capture experimental data in LIMS/ELN systems

Requirements:

• Master's degree in life sciences
• OR Bachelor's degree and 2 years of relevant scientific experience

Desired skills:

• Experience with protein purification and analytics fundamentals, techniques, instrumentation, and software
• Knowledge of high throughput purification and analytical techniques
• Experience with handling and analyzing large datasets
• Demonstrated strong communication skills, ability to multi-task, and work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
• Demonstrated track record of independent critical thinking and creative problem-solving
• For the Analytics Profile: Experience with protein analytical techniques (HPLC, MCE, etc) and analysis software (Chromeleon, LabChip, etc)
• For the Purification Profile: Experience with a variety of chromatography techniques (Affinity, IEX, HIC, RP, MMC), liquid chromatography instrumentation (FPLC), and software (Unicorn)

Pay range: up to $28.10 per hour
