Senior QA Automation Engineer

Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid)
Duration: Long-Term Contract

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer with strong experience in web and API automation testing. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience building and maintaining automation frameworks, creating automated test scripts, and working closely with Agile development teams to deliver high-quality software.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of QA experience with strong Automation Testing background.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
• Experience building or enhancing automation frameworks.
• Strong experience in API Testing using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, Swagger, or SoapUI.
• Experience with Web Application Testing.
• Good understanding of Java, JavaScript, or Python for automation.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
• Experience with defect tracking tools like JIRA.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Accessibility Testing (WCAG/A11Y).
• Experience with Mobile Testing or Appium.
• Experience with Git and version control.
• Cloud testing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks.
• Develop and execute automation scripts for web and API applications.
• Validate REST APIs and backend services.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business analysts to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.
• Participate in sprint planning, defect triage, and release activities.
• Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
