Mechanical Engineer

Location: Germantown, MD Salary: $60.00 USD Hourly - $70.00 USD Hourly Description: Lead Mechanical Engineer opportunity with our client in the satellite communications and aerospace technology industry.

1+ year contract with strong likelihood for extensions
Onsite in Germantown, MD

Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end hardware development from concept through production and field deployment
• Own mechanical design, analysis, verification, and qualification testing
• Partner with electrical, RF, manufacturing, and certification teams
• Drive DFM/DFA initiatives and support production ramp-up activities

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of mechanical or electromechanical product development experience
• Proficiency with CAD tools (Creo, SolidWorks, CATIA, etc.)
• Experience with FEA, CFD, thermal analysis, and structural design
• Strong understanding of GD&T, tolerance stack-ups, and manufacturing processes
• Background in aerospace, avionics, satellite communications, RF hardware, or other high-reliability systems preferred
