Career Consultant for Engineering and Science

The Career Center at the University of Pittsburgh provides excellent services and resources to students "from start to finish" during their career journey. The Career Center seeks a Career Consultant to support Engineering and STEM students. The Career Consultant will provide personalized assistance to students/alumni with career planning, internships, job search strategies, and graduate school preparation, and will also provide outreach and programming to the Swanson School of Engineering.

Duties of this position include individual appointments, drop-in appointments, workshops and programs, developing job search resources, outreach to residence halls and student organizations, and establishing contacts with faculty and academic advisors. The candidate should possess a working knowledge of career development issues relevant to Engineering and STEM majors. The consultant in this position will work with students at all class levels across majors including Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and Environmental Engineering.

This position aligns perfectly with the Personalized Education Initiative by providing individual assistance to engineering students.
