Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer Salary £52,000 3 Shift Pattern Mornings, Afternoons, Nights 8 Hour Shifts Bedford Are you a motivated Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer looking for your next position? We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias to join our client's team based in Bedford.

The position involves working in a highly automated environment and you will play a key part in maintaining and improving on-site machinery including conveyors, sortation systems, automated handling equipment, palletisers, bagger, labelling machines etc.

This is a great opportunity for an electrically biased maintenance engineer who enjoys working in a modern, technology-driven environment and has strong fault-finding abilities.

Key Responsibilities for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across automated distribution equipment Respond quickly to breakdowns and minimise operational downtime Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults on conveyors, motors, sensors, drives, pneumatics, and automated systems Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives Work with PLC-controlled systems and assist with basic fault diagnosis Maintain accurate maintenance records using the CMMS system Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures Collaborate with operations teams to maximise site performance and efficiency Experience and Qualifications required for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer Recognised engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC, or equivalent) Previous experience within an automated warehouse, distribution, FMCG, manufacturing, or logistics environment Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills Experience working with conveyors, sortation systems, or automated handling equipment Ability to work independently and within a team Strong communication and problem-solving skills Salary and Benefits of a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer Salary £52,000 3 Shift Pattern Mornings, Afternoons, Nights 8 HOUR SHIFTS Company pension scheme Training and career progression opportunities Modern automated working environment Employee benefits package Supportive engineering and operations team If you are looking to join a growing, technology-driven environment then click apply today or please call Holly on (phone number removed) for more information
