Job Description

Senior Project Manager

  • Location: East Grinstead, West Sussex or Northampton (with regular travel to other locations)
  • Job Type: Full-time, Hybrid (50/50 but may require 100% on-site for project launches)
  • Salary: Up to £54,000 per annum, depending on experience

We are seeking a dynamic Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of internal, non-customer-facing projects aimed at enhancing operational efficiency across various business units. This role is crucial for driving improvements in internal processes, systems, and operational efficiency, and requires a pragmatic, delivery-focused individual comfortable with ambiguity and capable of introducing structure in evolving project environments.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Lead the delivery of internal projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring they meet time, scope, and budget requirements.
  • Establish and maintain project governance, including defining project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders and steering committees to facilitate timely decision-making and ensure alignment with business priorities.
  • Proactively manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, and maintain strong governance and control throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders across all levels, ensuring clear, consistent, and proactive communication.
  • Identify and lead initiatives to improve internal systems, processes, and operational efficiencies, embedding best practice project management methodologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in delivering internal business change, transformation, or operational improvement projects.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and collaborate across multiple business functions.
  • Experience in establishing project governance, reporting, risk management, and project controls.
  • Strong planning, organisational, and prioritisation skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in logistics, warehousing, fulfilment, supply chain, or broader operational roles is highly advantageous.
  • Comfortable operating in environments where project management processes are still evolving.
