UX Strategy Lead - Hybrid (3 days/week)

Genesis10 is currently seeking a UX Strategy Lead - Hybrid (3 days/week) position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.
This role is centered on leading UX efforts across multiple products and platforms. The ideal candidate will define and communicate UX vision, partner with various teams to align user needs with business objectives, and advocate for user-centered design principles throughout the organization.
Responsibilities:

• Lead UX efforts across multiple products, platforms, and initiatives
• Define and communicate UX vision, strategy, and design direction
• Partner with Product, Technology, Business, and Accessibility teams to align user needs with business objectives
• Mentor and guide designers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
• Plan and conduct user interviews, stakeholder interviews, usability studies, and discovery sessions
• Synthesize research findings into actionable insights and develop personas, journey maps, and experience maps
• Plan and facilitate UX workshops, design-thinking sessions, and stakeholder alignment meetings
• Create and influence content strategies that support customer goals and business outcomes
• Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs
• Serve as an accessibility advocate and subject matter expert, designing against WCAG and ADA standards
• Contribute to and help evolve enterprise design systems and component libraries
• Work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Architects, and other stakeholders in an Agile environment

Requirements:

• Proven experience in UX & Research including user interviews, usability testing, persona development, and journey mapping
• Strong skills in information architecture, interaction design, and design thinking
• Leadership experience including team leadership, design mentorship, and stakeholder management
• Experience with workshop facilitation for design thinking, ideation, and requirements gathering
• Knowledge of content strategy, content architecture, and information design
• Expertise in accessibility standards including WCAG 2.1/2.2 and ADA compliance
• Experience with design systems, component libraries, and design governance
• Strong visual design skills in typography, color theory, and responsive design
• Proficiency with tools such as Figma, FigJam, Miro, Adobe Creative Suite, Jira, and Confluence

Desired skills:

• Experience within large enterprise organizations
• Experience building or managing enterprise design systems
• Experience leading accessibility initiatives
• SAFe Agile or Agile delivery experience
• Experience mentoring and developing UX teams
• Experience in financial services, healthcare, technology, or other highly regulated industries

Pay range: $55.06 - $63.06 per hour
