Job Title: Vaccine Manufacturing Laboratory Technician

Job Type: Contract

Pay Range: $15.00hr - $20.00hr

Job Overview:

The candidate will be responsible for performing activities associated with the preparation of vaccine components in an aseptic clean room environment utilizing virus and cell culture techniques according to USDA regulations. The candidate will ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures, assist with employee training, complete and review in-process documentation, and support site projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Perform activities associated with the preparation of vaccine components in an aseptic clean room environment utilizing virus and cell culture techniques according to USDA regulations.
• Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures during the execution of processes.
• Assist with training and coaching current and new employees on required skills.
• Complete and review in-process documentation for accuracy and compliance in a timely manner, including maintaining technical data and support documentation.
• Participate in root cause analysis, implement corrective and preventative actions to address problems, and escalate production flow disturbances.
• Demonstrate a visible and tangible commitment to Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs and initiatives.
• Assess individual performance in regard to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in and provide support to site projects and initiatives, including deviation and change control management.

Skills:

• Demonstrated strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Knowledge of clean room protocols and aseptic techniques.
• Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing Principles.
• Basic math skills and equipment/automation troubleshooting abilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and other database software systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities.

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor s degree in Biology or a related field preferred.
• 1+ years of laboratory and/or manufacturing experience preferred.
