The Role

• Operate specialized heavy equipment such as hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders to move and position shipping containers.
• Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks, ensuring efficient flow of freight.
• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections on equipment to guarantee safety and functionality.
• Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily tasks and container moves.
• Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to established safety protocols and procedures.
• Safely stack, move, and organize containers within the intermodal yard.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is required.
• Previous experience operating heavy equipment or in a logistics/industrial setting is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
