Job Description

Breast Sonographer

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our collaborative breast imaging team, where your expertise will directly contribute to the early detection and diagnosis of breast disease.

Position Responsibilities:

Perform high-quality breast ultrasound examinations, ensuring optimal image acquisition and diagnostic accuracy.

Explain procedures to patients, answer questions, and provide compassionate care throughout the exam.

Review prior imaging studies and reports before each examination to ensure comprehensive evaluation.

Assess image quality and recognize relevant findings to assist the interpreting Radiologist.

Present images and preliminary observations to the Radiologist and healthcare team.

Collaborate closely with Mammographers and Radiologists to obtain all necessary diagnostic information.

Accurately document examinations and maintain complete patient records within the electronic medical record.

Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment while ensuring examination rooms meet cleanliness and infection-control standards.

Utilize PACS, RIS, EMR, and other imaging software efficiently and accurately.

ARDMS Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS).

Minimum of two years of breast ultrasound experience.

Experience with ob/gyn ultrasound is a plus.

Strong understanding of breast anatomy, physiology, ultrasound physics, and instrumentation.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate, patient-focused approach.

Exceptional attention to detail, critical thinking, and organizational skills.

Experience working with PACS, RIS, EMR, and other imaging information systems.
