Our client, a leading global investment bank, is seeking to add multiple Vice Presidents to its M&A team in New York.This role offers the opportunity to work directly with senior leadership and gain exposure to a broad range of high-profile transactions across industries. The team is actively seeking candidates with public M&A transaction experience who are looking to accelerate their careers within a highly collaborative and well-resourced platform.
About the Team
- Highly active M&A advisory platform with more than 80 bankers globally and approximately 30 professionals based in New York.
- Team members operate as true M&A generalists, advising on transactions across sectors including Technology, Consumer, Industrials, Healthcare, and more.
- Strong deal flow across both public and private company transactions.
- Senior leadership is heavily involved in both execution and professional development.
Unique Exposure
Unlike many industry coverage groups, this team provides a blend of industry specialization and broad M&A experience:
- Approximately 60% of transaction exposure aligns with your sector expertise or interests.
- Approximately 40% of transaction exposure comes from opportunities across other industries, allowing for broader deal experience and career development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead execution of complex M&A transactions from inception through closing.
- Manage analysts and associates while overseeing financial analyses, valuation work, and client presentations.
- Serve as a key point of contact with clients, legal counsel, and other transaction stakeholders.
- Execute both public and private buy-side and sell-side advisory assignments.
- Work closely with senior bankers on strategic client engagements and business development initiatives.
Qualifications
- 4-6+ years of investment banking experience.
- Current Vice President or senior Associate ready to step into a VP role.
- Strong M&A execution background, including experience working on public company transactions.
- Advanced financial modeling, valuation, and transaction management capabilities.
- Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams and mentor junior team members.
- Strong communication and client-facing skills.
