Job Description

Title:                 Founding AI Engineer – Agentic AI
Location:              New York, NY (Hybrid)
Employment Type:  Full-Time 
About the AI Engineer role:
  • We’re hiring a Founding AI Engineer for Resolvd AI, an early-stage AI company building an autonomous workforce for the healthcare supply chain
What You’ll Do
  • Build and ship production-grade LLM and AI agent systems.
  • Work on agent orchestration, state management, tool use, evaluations, and failure handling.
  • Turn complex customer workflows into reusable AI platform capabilities.
  • Work with messy, unstructured enterprise data in healthcare and other verticals.
  • Collaborate directly with the founder and help shape the product and technical architecture.
What We’re Looking For
  • Strong hands-on software engineering experience with recent production coding experience.
  • Proven experience building and shipping LLM/agentic AI systems — beyond prompt engineering.
  • Experience with technologies such as LangGraph, DSPy, Inspect, Anthropic SDK, OpenAI SDK, or similar.
  • Experience with vertical AI, particularly healthcare, finance, insurance, or legal.
  • Experience working with unstructured data and complex enterprise workflows.
  • Previous experience as an early engineer at a startup is highly preferred.
  • Public AI/agent work such as GitHub repositories, technical blogs, talks, or OSS contributions is a strong plus.
  • Comfortable working in a small, fast-moving founding team and reporting directly to the founder.
Ideal candidate:
  • A Founding Engineer / Forward Deployed Engineer / Staff-level engineer who is still hands-on, has shipped production AI agents recently, and wants significant ownership in an early-stage company.
