  • Perform Standards & Practices (S&P) compliance review of feature films and other long-form content against broadcast, platform, and client requirements, including TV-PG, TV-14, and TV-MA guidelines.
  • Identify and notate all material requiring modification: language, nudity, sexual content, violence, drug and alcohol use, graphic imagery, and other restricted content.
  • Prepare timecode compliance notes, and version documentation accounting for every modification made to each master.
  • Create compliant alternate versions using picture edits, audio mutes and bleeps, dialogue substitution, blurs, reframing, and other established compliance techniques.
  • Maintain the creative integrity, continuity, pacing, and technical quality of the original program while executing required edits, holding frame-accurate sync across picture, dialogue, and music and effects.
  • Re-conform captions, subtitles, and secondary audio to each compliance version so all deliverable elements stay in sync with the edited master.
  • Maintain accurate file naming, version control, asset tracking, and delivery records so any version can be identified, sourced, and reproduced on request.
  • Manage multiple titles and overlapping deadlines, coordinating with QC and operations on delivery dates, fix cycles, and redeliveries.
  • Stay current on evolving broadcast Standards & Practices, advertiser suitability requirements, platform content policies, and rating body guidelines, and apply them consistently across the slate.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of professional video editing experience, preferably including feature films, long-form television, in-flight versioning and broadcast versioning.
  • Advanced proficiency in professional non-linear editing software, ideally Adobe Premiere Pro and/or Avid Media Composer. Experience with DaVinci Resolve, Adobe After Effects, or comparable finishing tools is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of broadcast and streaming delivery specifications, including common video, audio, and caption formats.
