Retail Sales Supervisor

Pay Rate: $19.00 an hour
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Schedule, train, coach and evaluate staff, and conduct performance reviews
Direct daily work activities and inspect completed work for conformance to standards
Develop, maintain, and provide direction related to policies and procedures
Prepare for and conduct inventories and manage inventory control system
Anticipate traffic levels and order and maintain stock levels using department guidelines
Develop and maintain business relationships with various vendors
Review revenue audits and profit and loss statements to identify cost savings and maximize revenue
Effectively communicate with support departments
Identify and resolve merchandise problems, over/short shipments and billing errors
Maintain the overall general appearance of the retail sales and storage areas
Maintain operation, fill and make deposits of sales for cigarette vending machines
KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Required Knowledge and Certification:
1-year previous cash register experience
1 -ear previous customer service experience
Preferred Knowledge and Certification:
High school diploma / GED or equivalent experience
Previous supervisory experience

Strong computer skills Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and Windows XP
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to walk and / or stand and for periods of up to 8 hours
Must have a good sense of balance, and be able to bend and kneel
Must be able to reach and twist occasionally
Must be able to push, pull and grasp objects routinely
Must have the ability to independently lift up to 25 pounds routinely
Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions
Must have good eye hand coordination
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed primarily in the retail and smoke shops including flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke
Must be able to work in cramped, tight quarters
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidays
Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals
High volume direct public contact
