Private Credit Associate, ABF

A private investment firm with over $4BAUM is looking to add a Private Credit Associate to the team in New York, NY. The firm specializes in flexible, asset-based capital solutions for leading companies. The team brings decades of experience in private credit, investment management, and capital markets, and remains dedicated to supporting high-quality businesses with reliable, customized financing.

The firm is seeking a Private Credit Associate to join the Investment Team. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, high-impact transactions and gain exposure to all aspects of the investment process. The ideal candidate is passionate about fintech and has a strong understanding of asset-backed corporate finance fundamentals.

Responsibilities:

• Underwrite investment opportunities using collateral-specific credit analyses (e.g., building collections/charge-off curves, measuring loss coverages, calculating investment returns)
• Review diligence materials with a focus on evaluating and manipulating loan tapes for credit analysis
• Demonstrate expertise in financial statement analysis and fixed-income transaction mechanics
• Work fluently with large and diverse datasets
• Prepare detailed investment memos with strong attention to accuracy
• Participate in and support various aspects of the deal execution process
• Monitor portfolio companies to ensure accurate reporting and generate performance reviews
• Assist in deal sourcing by identifying emerging opportunities

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• 2-4 years of experience in private credit investing, investment banking, debt capital markets / leveraged finance, structured / asset-based finance, or restructuring
• Strong knowledge of credit underwriting and accounting principles
• Advanced Excel skills (Alteryx a plus)
