Kforce has a client that is seeking a Data Integration Engineer. This role is hybrid in Phoenix, AZ.
Overview
We are seeking a Data Integration Engineer to design, develop, and support applications, integrations, automation tools, and data solutions that power critical business and operational processes. This role will work across the full software development lifecycle, building scalable solutions that improve data quality, streamline workflows, and enable efficient data exchange across enterprise systems.
The ideal candidate combines application development expertise with strong database and integration skills. You will collaborate with business and technical teams to deliver reliable solutions, support production environments, troubleshoot complex issues, and continuously improve operational effectiveness through automation and modern engineering practices.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support applications, integrations, and automation solutions
- Build and maintain APIs, services, scripts, and tools that support data management and operational processes
- Develop and support system integrations using REST APIs, file-based interfaces, and data exchange services
- Create SQL queries, stored procedures, database scripts, and data transformation processes
- Design scalable solutions for data migrations, imports, exports, and bulk data processing activities
- Troubleshoot and resolve application, database, integration, and data-related issues across multiple systems
- Participate in solution design, code reviews, testing, deployment validation, and production support activities
- Develop reusable components and automation capabilities that improve efficiency and reduce manual effort
- Optimize system performance, application reliability, and data processing workflows
- Partner with stakeholders, developers, QA teams, and operations teams to deliver technology solutions aligned to business objectives
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 3+ years of experience in software development, systems integration, data engineering, application support, or a related technical role
- Experience developing applications, automation solutions, scripts, utilities, or integration services
- Experience working with relational databases, data models, and structured data environments
- Experience designing, developing, and supporting REST API integrations
- Understanding of SDLC methodologies, Agile practices, and production support processes
- Strong SQL development skills, including query optimization, stored procedures, scripting, and troubleshooting
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to independently design, implement, and support technical solutions
