We have been providing high-quality services since 2010, striving to deliver the best service, constantly growing and developing our business model and market share to go in line with the changing world.

In 2024, we became part of Hometree Group, a leading UK residential home energy services company, paving the way for a brighter future in the home. By joining Hometree’s mission to help millions of homeowners look after their homes and transition to lower-carbon living, in addition to installation we now also provide comprehensive servicing, financing and maintenance to make it easier to look after your home and ensure a greener future.

Join us during this exciting time, and play a pivotal role in a business that supports sustainable homeownership.

The Role

You will own every item of stock from order to installation, across our main warehouse, our remote stock location and all eight installation vans. You will also run purchasing for the operations team, making sure we buy at the best available price.
Success means every job leaves fully kitted, the system matches the shelves, and our materials costs are stable and controlled.

Responsibilities:

Warehouse and stock control

  • Receive and check all deliveries against purchase orders, book them in the same day, and resolve shortages, damages, credits and returns with suppliers.

  • Pick, pack and stage materials for each job ahead of its install date.

  • Keep the warehouse organised, labelled and safe, with clear locations for every product line.

  • Run cycle counts and full stocktakes, investigating and correcting any variances.

  • Manage warranty returns, and arrange compliant disposal of packaging waste and removed equipment.

Remote location and van stock

  • Own stock levels at our remote location and all transfers to and from the main warehouse.

  • Set a standard van stock list for each team, audit and top up vans regularly, and reconcile usage against jobs.

  • Record every stock movement so we always know where stock is, and work with installers to cut wasted trips.

Purchasing and cost control

  • Raise purchase orders for all operations materials, in line with job requirements and lead times.

  • Benchmark prices across suppliers before significant purchases, and negotiate prices, discounts, payment terms and delivery charges.

  • Maintain an approved supplier list tracking price, lead time, reliability and quality.

  • Set reorder levels, keep stock holding right for cash flow, flag slow-moving items, and warn operations early of supply risks.

Forklift and health and safety

  • Operate the forklift to move palletised stock, and keep lifting equipment inspected and compliant with LOLER and PUWER.

  • Store lithium-ion batteries and other hazardous items safely, following manufacturer guidance and fire-risk controls.

  • Keep the warehouse compliant on risk assessments, manual handling and COSHH, and make sure anyone else using the forklift is certified.

Systems and reporting

  • Keep stock records accurate on our job management system, and help set up stock management on our new system, including data migration.

  • Report monthly on stock value, accuracy, purchasing spend, savings achieved and supplier performance, and work with operations, design and sales to plan material needs.

What we’re looking for:

  • Forklift Certification: A current counterbalance forklift certificate from an accredited body such as RTITB, AITT, ITSSAR or NPORS.

  • Warehouse Experience: Proven experience running a warehouse or stores, ideally in an installation, construction or electrical business.

  • Purchasing & Supplier Management: Hands-on purchasing experience, including negotiating prices and managing suppliers.

  • Stock Control: Strong stock control skills, from goods in and picking to cycle counts and stocktakes.

  • Systems & IT Skills: Confident with stock or job management software and Excel.

  • Organisation & Communication: Highly organised and accurate, with clear communication skills when working with installers, office staff and suppliers.

Extra Credit:

  • Product Knowledge: Knowledge of solar PV, battery storage, EV charging or electrical wholesale products.

  • Battery Handling & Safety: Experience storing and handling lithium-ion batteries safely.

  • Stock Management Systems: Experience setting up van stock systems or moving stock records onto new software.

  • Health & Safety: IOSH Working Safely or a similar health and safety qualification.

Our Recruitment Process:

  • Initial Call: Start with an introductory call with our Head of People to discuss the role and your potential fit. (30 mins)

  • Skills-Based Interview: Engage in a detailed discussion about your past experiences with our General Manager.

Perks of the job

We have an ever expanding list of benefits that currently includes:

  • Healthcare Plan via our health insurance provider Benenden

  • 25 days plus bank holidays
