Job description

A financial services organization is seeking an Attorney to support its markets business and provide legal guidance on trading activities, derivatives transactions, regulatory matters, and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise business teams on derivatives, trading products, and related financial markets activities
  • Draft, review, and negotiate ISDA documentation and related trading agreements
  • Provide legal guidance on securities law, regulatory, and compliance matters
  • Support financing transactions, including credit agreements, security agreements, and guarantees
  • Maintain and update legal templates and documentation standards
  • Monitor regulatory developments and advise on their impact to the business
  • Partner with stakeholders on risk management, governance, and business initiatives
  • Support regulatory inquiries, investigations, and other legal matters as needed

Qualifications

  • J.D. or equivalent legal experience
  • Strong experience with derivatives and ISDA documentation
  • Understanding of U.S. securities laws
  • Familiarity with financing transactions and related documentation
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred

  • Experience supporting markets, trading, or capital markets businesses
  • Ability to balance legal risk with commercial objectives
  • Experience managing complex regulatory and compliance matters in a fast-paced environment
