Job Description

Title: Rapid7 Lead Architect – Vulnerability Management
Location: Remote with some travel (Expenses paid)
Duration: 6+ months

Role Summary

Seeking an experienced Rapid7 Lead Architect with 8–10 years in Cybersecurity/IT and 5+ years in Vulnerability Management to lead enterprise vulnerability management. The role focuses on Rapid7 InsightVM, Nexpose, InsightConnect, automation, integrations, governance, and remediation across infrastructure, endpoints, cloud, and applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise vulnerability management from discovery to remediation and reporting.
  • Architect, deploy, and optimize Rapid7 InsightVM, Nexpose, and InsightConnect.
  • Define remediation SLAs, KPIs, governance, and ownership across technology teams.
  • Build executive dashboards and vulnerability risk reports.
  • Automate remediation workflows using Rapid7 APIs, InsightConnect, PowerShell, and Python.
  • Integrate Rapid7 with ServiceNow, Intune, SCCM/MECM, Ivanti, BigFix, Tanium, Jamf, and other endpoint management tools.
  • Lead remediation reviews, governance meetings, and stakeholder communications.
  • Drive vulnerability management strategy, risk reduction, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • 8–10 years of Cybersecurity/IT experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on Rapid7 Vulnerability Management experience.
  • Expertise with Rapid7 InsightVM, Nexpose, InsightConnect, and Rapid7 APIs.
  • Experience managing enterprise-scale vulnerability remediation programs.
  • Strong knowledge of CVE/CVSS, vulnerability assessment, patch management, compliance, and risk governance.
  • Hands-on scripting with PowerShell and/or Python and REST API integrations.
  • Experience integrating Rapid7 with ServiceNow and endpoint management platforms.
  • Good understanding of Windows, Linux, Active Directory, Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform, networking, and security fundamentals.
