Job Description

LightFeather is seeking a highly skilled and experienced ServiceNow Architect to join our Washington, D.C.-based team in a fully remote capacity. In this role, you will design, implement, and optimize ServiceNow solutions supporting IT modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in ServiceNow architecture, integrations, and customization, with a strong track record of leveraging the platform to streamline workflows, improve service delivery, and enhance operational efficiency. This is a Full-Time, Remote Position.

  • Salary: $150,000-$170,000k annually 
  • Clearance Requirement: U.S. citizenship is required. Candidates must possess or be able to obtain a Secret or Top Secret security clearance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize scalable ServiceNow solutions that align with business and IT requirements while adhering to platform best practices.
  • Lead ServiceNow implementations, including solution design, technical planning, and phased deployments, while ensuring performance and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into detailed technical requirements and specifications.
  • Develop custom applications and extend ServiceNow modules using ServiceNow App Engine, Flow Designer, scripting, and other platform capabilities.
  • Integrate ServiceNow with external systems and third-party applications, ensuring seamless data flow and robust security.
  • Optimize ServiceNow workflows, manage data migrations, and enhance system performance through platform configuration and best practices.
  • Conduct code reviews, testing, and deployment planning to maintain high standards of reliability, scalability, and security.
  • Provide technical leadership by mentoring developers, guiding stakeholders, and enforcing ServiceNow development best practices.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation for applications, system designs, configurations, integrations, and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with IT security standards, data governance policies, and regulatory requirements relevant to the platform.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues affecting ServiceNow performance and functionality.
  • Drive continuous improvement by staying current with ServiceNow updates and features and recommending system enhancements that align with IT modernization goals.

Required Qualifications

  • Active Secret or higher clearance
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
  • 5+ years of experience as a ServiceNow Architect or in a similar role.
  • In-depth experience with ServiceNow integrations, custom development, and troubleshooting.
  • Expertise in implementing and optimizing ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, Security Operations, Service Catalog, and Reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of ServiceNow data models, workflows, JavaScript, REST APIs, and web technologies, including HTML and CSS.
  • Experience with ServiceNow upgrades, performance optimization, and implementing best practices for scalability.
  • Strong knowledge of data security practices and integration security protocols.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and a proven ability to develop innovative solutions to complex technical challenges.
  • Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or equivalent certifications.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
  • Experience with DevOps tools such as Jira, Jenkins, and GitHub.
