Job Description

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Promote and reinforce a strong culture of safety across supplier operations and development activities.
Lead supplier development strategies that align with business goals, operational priorities, and customer requirements.
Drive supplier transfer and localization programs through effective project management, stakeholder collaboration, and execution planning.
Review supplier manufacturing proposals, assess production feasibility, and partner with engineering and operations teams to resolve technical and commercial issues.
Collaborate with supply chain, planning, quality, and procurement teams to address supplier performance challenges and implement sustainable solutions.
Monitor and improve key supplier performance metrics related to quality, delivery, responsiveness, and operational efficiency.
Develop and execute improvement programs targeting supplier delivery reliability and quality performance.
Support root cause analysis, corrective action implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives to resolve recurring supplier issues.
Analyze demand forecasts and capacity requirements, working closely with suppliers and internal teams to proactively manage supply continuity and performance.
Strengthen supplier capabilities by promoting the adoption of structured problem-solving methodologies, Lean principles, and continuous improvement practices.
Identify and develop strategic foundry and forging partners while supporting supplier consolidation and supply base optimization initiatives.
Lead supplier readiness and development efforts for new product introductions, resourcing activities, and regional growth initiatives.

For This Role, You Will Need:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Significant experience in supplier development, supplier quality, manufacturing, supply chain, sourcing, or related operational disciplines.
Experience working with supplier performance improvement programs in casting, forging, machining, or other manufacturing environments.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, supplier evaluation, and supply chain management principles.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects and influence stakeholders across multiple levels of the organization.
Experience with root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Effective communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, global business environment.
Willingness and ability to travel as required to support supplier development activities.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

Advanced degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
Extensive experience supporting supplier development and strategic sourcing initiatives within industrial manufacturing environments.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Structured Problem Solving, or similar continuous improvement methodologies.
Experience leading supplier transfer, localization, new product introduction, or resourcing projects.
Familiarity with global supply chain operations and supplier management across multiple regions.
Experience developing strategic partnerships with foundries, forging suppliers, and precision machining suppliers.
Professional certifications related to quality, operations, supply chain, or project management.
