WHAT ARE WE OFFERING?

Join the Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network (BHFLHN), RSS - BME and play a key role in ensuring the safe, effective and compliant use of biomedical technologies across SA Health facilities. Working closely with the Technical Manager, you will provide specialised biomedical engineering support, maintenance and advice for a range of medical devices and systems, helping to ensure critical equipment remains reliable, available and fit for purpose while supporting innovation and service excellence. This is a fantastic opportunity to apply professional judgement across a diverse range of medical technologies, and play a vital role in supporting high-quality patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment. The role involves metro and country travel which may require overnight stays in regional locations.

WHO ARE WE?

The RSS is a business unit in SA Health that delivers a range of enabling services, such as workforce planning and recruitment, digital health, finance, infrastructure, procurement, and clinical governance support. Our purpose is to strengthen and sustain healthcare delivery in rural and regional areas by providing consistent, efficient, and specialist support functions to the six regional local health networks (LHNs) across South Australia. We employ around 260 people who work in 37 regional, rural and remote SA locations, or in the RSS's three Adelaide offices.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Do you have demonstrated experience handling confidential and sensitive information with professionalism, discretion and integrity? Demonstrated experience delivering preventative and corrective maintenance, technical analysis and troubleshooting support for complex medical equipment and systems in safety-critical healthcare environments. Strong ability to work independently and in teams, solve problems, manage priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. HOW WILL YOU CONTRIBUTE?

Support the maintenance, repair and performance of biomedical equipment used in patient care. Undertake preventative maintenance, inspections and testing to ensure equipment safety and reliability. Troubleshoot technical issues and contribute to the effective operation of biomedical devices and systems. Maintain accurate records, monitor equipment performance, and support quality and compliance requirements. Collaborate with clinicians, technical staff and stakeholders to deliver safe, effective and customer-focused services.
