The Role

• Operate specialized heavy equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) to move and position shipping containers.
• Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks within an intermodal yard.
• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections of equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
• Coordinate with yard personnel and supervisors to optimize container flow and daily tasks.
• Maintain a high standard of safety, adhering to all established protocols and procedures.
• Ensure accurate and safe handling of containers to keep freight moving efficiently.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and climb ladders/stairs on railcars.
