Job Description

Year Up United is seeking an Entry Level Sales Specialist to join our Sales & Business Development team within the Banking, Insurance & Investment space. In this role, you'll prospect and qualify leads, support relationship-building with corporate partners, and help grow inclusive talent pipelines for diverse young adults. You'll assist with presentations, track sales activity in CRM tools, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams. Ideal candidates are strong communicators, eager learners, and mission-driven self-starters excited to build a sales career with social impact.

Responsibilities

  • Research and identify prospective employer partners in banking, insurance, and investment services
  • Conduct outbound outreach via phone, email, and social media to generate and qualify leads
  • Schedule discovery calls and presentations for senior sales and partnership staff
  • Maintain accurate records of activities, leads, and opportunities in the CRM system
  • Support preparation of sales materials, slide decks, and basic proposals for prospective partners
  • Assist with follow-up on marketing-generated leads and inbound inquiries
  • Coordinate logistics for virtual and on-site employer meetings, visits, and showcase events
  • Communicate Year Up's mission, program model, and talent value proposition to prospective partners
  • Collaborate with program and employer partnership teams to align employer needs with participant skills
  • Track and report on individual outreach activity and progress toward goals
  • Continuously develop sales, communication, and industry knowledge through training and coaching
