We are looking for an experiencedย Senior Software Engineerย to design, develop, and deliver scalable, reliable, and high-performance software solutions. The role is suited for an engineer with strong hands-on development expertise who can take ownership of complex technical problems and contribute across the complete software development lifecycle.
You will work closely with product managers, architects, designers, QA engineers, and other developers to build robust applications that support business and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable and reliable software applications.
- Translate functional and technical requirements into well-designed software solutions.
- Develop clean, reusable, maintainable, and production-ready code.
- Participate in system design, architecture discussions, and technical decision-making.
- Build and integrate robust APIs, services, and application components.
- Analyse complex technical problems and implement effective, sustainable solutions.
- Optimise application performance, scalability, reliability, and resource utilisation.
- Write comprehensive unit, integration, and automated tests to ensure software quality.
- Participate in peer code reviews and promote engineering standards and best practices.
- Troubleshoot application and production issues and perform detailed root-cause analysis.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, DevOps, and other cross-functional teams to deliver features end-to-end.
- Contribute to CI/CD, deployment, monitoring, and production-release processes.
- Identify opportunities for automation, refactoring, and technical debt reduction.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, design specifications, and operational guidelines.
- Support production systems and participate in incident resolution when required.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through technical guidance and constructive code reviews.
- Stay current with modern software engineering practices, technologies, and development methodologies.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- 5+ years of professional software development experienceย with strong hands-on engineering expertise.
- Proven experience designing and developing scalable, production-grade software applications.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
- Experience developingย RESTful APIs, distributed services, or microservices.
- Strong knowledge of databases, data modelling, and efficient query development.
- Experience with automated testing, debugging, performance optimisation, and production troubleshooting.
- Good understanding ofย cloud platforms, CI/CD, containers, and modern DevOps practices.
- Strong proficiency with Git and modern software development workflows.
- Experience working inย Agile/Scrum or similar engineering environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to break down complex technical challenges.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to independently own technical deliverables from design through production.
- Strong attention to code quality, maintainability, scalability, security, and reliability.
- Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to technical knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree inย Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related disciplineย is preferred.
