The Role

• Operate heavy machinery, including hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders, to move shipping containers.
• Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks, ensuring timely freight movement.
• Safely position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard using specialized equipment.
• Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to guarantee safety and functionality.
• Coordinate with yard personnel and supervisors to manage daily logistics tasks and container movements.
• Maintain a secure and organized work environment by adhering to all safety protocols.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position.
• Prior experience operating heavy equipment in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs and climbing.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
