  • Manage client deliverables and deadlines independently while collaborating with other CPAs and firm leadership.
  • Participate in business development, relationship building, and opportunities to expand the firm's client base.
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients and professional referral sources.
  • Contribute to the continued growth and long-term leadership of the firm.

Tax CPA Qualifications:

  • Active CPA designation required.
  • 5+ years of progressive tax and accounting experience; more seasoned professionals are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Significant tax-focused experience, including preparation and review of individual and business tax returns.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations.
  • Experience with professional tax preparation and accounting software.
  • Public accounting or CPA firm experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing client relationships and serving as a trusted advisor to business owners and individuals.
  • Prior experience reviewing the work of other tax professionals strongly preferred.
  • Experience mentoring, training, or leading accounting professionals preferred.
  • Multi-state tax and complex return experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and relationship-management skills with a polished, professional client presence.
  • Self-motivated and able to take ownership of client work, priorities, and deadlines without significant oversight.
  • Strong interest in continued professional growth and taking on greater leadership responsibility.
  • Collaborative and adaptable, with a willingness to contribute in a smaller firm where team members may wear multiple hats.
  • Business development experience or a demonstrated interest and ability to develop new client relationships is strongly preferred.
  • An existing book of business is highly desirable but not required; exceptional candidates without a portable book will be considered.

Tax CPA Compensation & Benefits:

  • $140,000–$150,000+ salary based on experience and book of business, with flexibility for an exceptional candidate.
  • 20% referral commission on revenue from new business originated for the first two years.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance, with the firm contributing 50% toward the employee's cost.
  • Multiple medical plan options, including an HSA-eligible plan.
  • Employer-funded $400 Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA), plus HSA and FSA options.
  • AFLAC products
  • 15 PTO and 7 Paid Holidays
  • 401k with match

  • Flexible scheduling and occasional work-from-home flexibility when needed.
  • Significant opportunity for continued professional growth and increased leadership responsibility.
