Traveling Electronic Technician III Location: Nationwide Travel (90% Travel / ~25% OCONUS)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Placement
Salary Range: $60,000 – $83,200 (based on experience) + Location-based Per Diem
Clearance Requirement: Eligible to Obtain a Secret Clearance/Active Secret Clearance Position Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Traveling Electronic Technician III to support installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electronic systems across military shore-based facilities. This role will directly support a government customer, requiring a high level of professionalism, technical expertise, and ability to operate in secure environments. The position requires strong low-voltage experience and a willingness to travel extensively, including OCONUS deployments.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain low-voltage electrical systems in government facilities
- Support access control systems, ensuring security and functionality across installations
- Perform conduit installation, pulling cable, and system integration work
- Diagnose and resolve system issues to minimize downtime
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with applicable codes, safety standards, and project specifications
- Travel to various job sites (~90% travel required), including approximately 25% OCONUS assignments
- Support operations for a government customer, adhering to all security and clearance requirements
- Maintain accurate documentation of installation and service work Required Qualifications
Strong experience with:
- Low-voltage systems
- Access control systems
- Conduit installation
- Eligible to obtain a Secret Clearance
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively, including international assignments
- Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in dynamic, field-based environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with access control platforms, such as:
- Lenel
- AMAG
- Honeywell
- Prior experience supporting government or military customers
