Platform Engineer/ Financial

This Platform Engineer opportunity sits within a large, highly regulated enterprise undergoing significant software delivery and platform modernization. The role is focused on improving developer productivity, strengthening delivery automation, and building scalable engineering capabilities across cloud-based environments.
You'll combine hands-on platform engineering with broader enablement work, helping development teams modernize CI/CD practices and adopt consistent automation standards. The environment is primarily Azure-based, with GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions, Infrastructure as Code, and release automation forming key parts of the delivery ecosystem.
You'll also contribute to AI-enabled engineering initiatives, exploring how tools such as GitHub Copilot can improve development workflows and engineering efficiency at enterprise scale.
Required Skills & Experience

• Strong Azure platform engineering experience, including Infrastructure as Code and designing automation for cloud-based enterprise environments.
• Advanced CI/CD and release automation experience, with hands-on expertise using GitHub Enterprise and GitHub Actions.
• Proven background in DevOps and platform engineering, with experience modernizing software delivery processes and implementing scalable engineering practices.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience evaluating, implementing, or scaling AI-assisted software development capabilities, particularly GitHub Copilot.
• Background driving developer productivity or engineering enablement initiatives across large, distributed development organizations.
• Experience establishing reusable platform patterns, automation standards, and DevOps practices within complex enterprise environments.
