Job Description

Senior Financial Accountant - Interim
Daily Rate: Inside IR35
Duration: 6 Months initilly
Location: Hybrid - Bristol, 2 days per week
We're looking for an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join a high-performing finance team in a broad and varied role covering financial reporting, management information and technical accounting.
This is a great opportunity for a qualified accountant who enjoys working with the numbers but also wants to understand the commercial story behind them and influence senior stakeholders.
The Role

  • Own monthly and quarterly financial reporting for senior management and Group.
  • Prepare and analyse management accounts and MI, providing clear commentary and insight.
  • Work across UK GAAP, HGB and other relevant accounting frameworks.
  • Analyse financial performance and key business drivers, highlighting trends and opportunities.
  • Partner with teams across the business to improve financial understanding and decision-making.
  • Work closely with technical accounting on complex accounting matters and analysis.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Support wider finance projects and initiatives.
  • Help develop and support more junior members of the team.
About You
  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified with strong post-qualified experience.
  • Strong background in financial reporting and management accounting.
  • Good knowledge of UK GAAP and/or HGB.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Confident communicating financial information to senior stakeholders.
  • Commercially minded, with the ability to understand and explain the drivers behind the numbers.
  • Comfortable challenging existing processes and identifying improvements.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and work effectively to tight deadlines.
