Program Manager Body-in-White Engineering

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Program Manager to oversee the day-to-day execution of engineering program deliverables. This role will manage part release tracking, material certification status, engineering timing, and overall program health reporting. The position requires strong cross-functional collaboration, excellent organizational skills, and proficiency with JIRA and Confluence to maintain accurate and transparent program documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain detailed tracking of part releases, engineering changes, and material certifications.

• Develop and update program timing charts, status dashboards, and health reports using JIRA and Confluence.

• Identify risks, delays, and dependencies early and communicate impacts and mitigation plans to stakeholders.

• Create and manage program boards, workflows, and dashboards to monitor engineering deliverables.

• Ensure consistent documentation and process adherence across teams using Confluence pages and templates.

• Coordinate between engineering, supply chain, quality, and manufacturing teams to ensure alignment on milestones and deliverables.

• Facilitate regular status meetings, publish action items, and follow up to ensure completion.

• Prepare concise executive summaries, timing updates, and program health metrics for leadership reviews.

• Support data-driven decision-making by maintaining accurate, real-time visibility into project progress.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.

• 3+ years of experience in program/project management, preferably in a technical or manufacturing environment.

• Proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, and related project management tools.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical data into clear, actionable information.

• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in engineering development, automotive, aerospace, or manufacturing environments.

• Familiarity with part release processes, engineering change management, and product lifecycle management (PLM) systems.

• Knowledge of Agile or Stage-Gate development processes.

Work Arrangement

• Hybrid work arrangement.

• Four days per week in the office.
