Job Title: Senior React Frontend Developer
Location: 200 I Street SE, Washington, DC 20003

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Senior React Frontend Developer to build responsive, accessible, scalable, and user-friendly web applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in React.js, Redux, JavaScript, REST APIs, and modern frontend development, with solid knowledge of Section 508 and WCAG accessibility standards. Government or enterprise experience is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain responsive web applications using React.js.
  • Build reusable, scalable, and maintainable React components.
  • Integrate frontend applications with RESTful APIs using Axios or similar tools.
  • Manage application state using Redux and asynchronous data flows.
  • Ensure compliance with Section 508, WCAG, and accessibility best practices.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI, backend, QA, product, and business teams.
  • Develop unit and integration tests using Jest and React Testing Library.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure high standards for code quality, security, and performance.
  • Apply performance optimization techniques such as code splitting, lazy loading, and memoization.
  • Work in Agile/Scrum environments and participate in sprint ceremonies.
  • Use Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD processes for source control and deployments.
  • Maintain technical documentation and support application enhancements.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of frontend development experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with React.js, JavaScript ES6+, HTML5, CSS3, Redux, Axios, and REST APIs.
  • Strong understanding of Section 508/WCAG accessibility compliance.
  • Experience with Jest, React Testing Library, Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred/Nice-to-Have:

  • Federal Government project experience.
  • TypeScript, AWS/Azure, Docker.
  • Accessibility testing tools and frontend security practices.
  • Experience with frontend architecture and performance optimization.
