Project                        : Large-Scale Report Rationalization & Migration |Enterprise Data & Analytics

Location         : Onshore – Remote (CST Working Hours)

Engagement  : Contract – 6 months

About the Role:  

The Senior Business/Reporting Analyst will support the client in assessing and rationalizing a large existing reporting landscape as part of a major system transition. The role will drive report inventory and stakeholder discovery, understand report ownership, usage and dependencies, identify representative high-value reports for the initial POC, and work closely with the Data Architect to establish a repeatable approach for the broader report migration.

Technical Competencies: 

1.      Strong understanding of enterprise reporting and BI environments, including report structures, data sources, fields, filters, metrics, and dependencies.

2.      Experience performing report inventory, usage analysis, dependency analysis, and rationalization across large reporting environments.

3.      Working knowledge of Power BI or comparable BI/reporting platforms and underlying data-model concepts.

4.      Ability to analyze and document report-to-source mappings, business rules, data dependencies, ownership, and criticality.

5.      Familiarity with SQL, data platforms/warehouses, system migrations, and reporting modernization concepts.

Behavioural Competencies: 

1.      Strong stakeholder engagement & facilitation skills, able to work directly with report owners & business teams.

2.      Highly structured and organized, capable of managing large inventories, dependencies, decisions, and documentation.

3.      Strong analytical skills to distinguish critical reports from redundant, obsolete, or low-value reports.

4.      Comfortable working through ambiguity & changing requirements while maintaining focus on business continuity.

5.      Strong collaborator who can bridge business & technical teams & work closely with the Data Architect & client SMEs.

Required Qualifications: 

1.      5-8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Reporting Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role in enterprise data/BI environments.

2.      Proven experience with report rationalization, reporting modernization, system migration, or large-scale reporting initiatives.

3.      Experience conducting stakeholder discovery, requirements analysis, report inventory, and dependency mapping.

4.      Working knowledge of BI/reporting tools, SQL, data models, and enterprise data platforms.

5.      Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience; strong documentation, facilitation, and client-facing communication skills required.
