This role combines enterprise software engineering, cloud-native application development, embedded automotive systems, and vehicle communication technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-native and desktop applications using Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, ReactJS, and PostgreSQL.

  • Architect and implement microservices, distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and REST/GraphQL APIs.

  • Develop reusable frameworks and services for vehicle feature configuration, signal management, and integration workflows.

  • Integrate CAN, CAN FD, J1939, LIN, Automotive Ethernet, telematics data, vehicle gateways, and connected vehicle services.

  • Collaborate with vehicle engineering, hardware, telematics, validation, and supplier teams to translate technical requirements into software solutions.

  • Analyze vehicle architecture changes, signal definitions, network specifications, and module interface documentation.

  • Develop AI-powered capabilities for configuration authoring, validation, diagnostics, and engineering workflows.

  • Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, infrastructure as code, monitoring, alerting, and observability practices.

  • Ensure performance, scalability, reliability, cybersecurity, and software quality standards.

  • Mentor engineers and contribute to architecture reviews, technical planning, and engineering best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of experience with Java and Spring Boot.

  • 3–5 years of experience with Node.js/TypeScript, ReactJS, and PostgreSQL.

  • 3–5 years of embedded software experience involving automotive systems, in-vehicle software development, and testing.

  • 3–5 years of Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) experience.

  • 5–7 years of experience with REST APIs and GraphQL.

  • Hands-on experience with automotive communication networks, including CAN, CAN FD, J1939, LIN, and Automotive Ethernet.

  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and cloud-native development.

  • Familiarity with Jenkins, Tekton, Terraform, GitHub, SonarQube, JFrog, FOSSA, and 42Crunch.

  • Strong understanding of microservices, API design, OpenAPI specifications, distributed systems, and secure software development.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with vehicle integration, upfitter solutions, fleet systems, commercial vehicles, or aftermarket equipment integration.

  • Knowledge of vehicle electrical architectures, body control systems, telematics, gateways, and telematics control units (TCUs).

  • Familiarity with J1939 PGNs/SPNs, OBD2, diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs), AUTOSAR, and software-defined vehicles.

  • Experience with vehicle diagnostic tools, data acquisition systems, analytics platforms, and connected vehicle ecosystems.

  • Understanding of automotive cybersecurity and functional safety concepts.

  • Experience leading technical discussions, mentoring engineers, and working in Agile product development environments.
