Resident Forklift Engineer - Cardiff

Job title: Resident forklift engineer<br />Location: Cardiff<br />Basic Salary: £30,000 - £34,0000<br />OTE: £34,680 - £39,720

Daily onsite payment (£18-£22 per day)<br />Monday to Friday<br />Hours: shift rotation (week 1 - 6:00am to 2:30pm &amp; week 2 - 8:00am to 4:30pm)<br />Van &amp; Fuel card provided (personal use within reason) Your responsibilities will include:<br />Service and maintain a wide range of material handling, access equipment and powered access equipment.<br />Carry out Thorough Examinations in line with relevant requirements.<br />Identify parts required for repairs and liaise with the Parts Department to arrange them.<br />Carry out fault diagnosis and determine the most appropriate repair or corrective action.<br />Manage and prioritise your own workload and allocated jobs.<br />Arrange suitable appointments with customers to minimise equipment downtime.<br />Maintain appropriate stock levels on your service vehicle to support emergency repairs.<br />Complete all work safely and in accordance with company method statements and risk assessments.<br />Maintain accurate records of work completed and communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.<br />What you’ll need:<br />Experience as a Forklift engineer / plant fitter / powered access engineer preffered<br />Proven experience of diesel engines<br />Strong experience with electrics, hydraulics and diagnostic skills<br />Ability to work independently and manage workload<br />A professional, reliable and customer-focused attitude<br />Cap Licence &amp; Ipaf preffered (if you don’t have this, they will train you up!)<br />Full UK driving licence<br />Your Package:<br />Basic Salary: £30,000 - £34,0000<br />OTE: £34,680 - £39,720
