Job Description

Join an Outstanding Care Team

Home Instead Ivybridge is a CQC-rated Outstanding domiciliary care provider. As an independently owned business and part of the renowned Home Instead network, we are passionate about delivering exceptional, relationship-led care that enables older adults to live independently and comfortably in their own homes.

Due to our continued growth, we are looking for caring, reliable individuals who share our values and commitment to making a positive difference every day.

As we support clients across rural communities in the South Hams, including accompanying them to appointments, social activities, and local outings, applicants must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a reliable vehicle insured for business use.

We’re looking for compassionate Care Professionals to support our clients. With minimum 1‑hour visits, you’ll have the time to build genuine relationships and deliver exceptional care.

Your day may include:

  • Personal care support — helping with morning and evening routines
  • Meal preparation — creating simple, nutritious meals
  • Household assistance — light cleaning, laundry and keeping the home comfortable
  • Errands and appointments — shopping, prescription collection or accompanying clients
  • Social activities — enjoying hobbies, outings or a friendly chat
  • Companionship — the heart of everything we do

Why you’ll love working with us:

  • Outstanding training and support — we invest in you from day one
  • 1‑hour minimum visits — no rushing, just quality care
  • Competitive pay — £13.60/hr weekdays, £14.60/hr weekends, double pay on bank holidays
  • Paid training, travel time and mileage
  • Flexible shifts available that fit around your life and commitments
  • A friendly, supportive office team who are always there for you
  • Brilliant perks — discounts at shops, hotels, cinemas and more
  • A meaningful role where you genuinely enhance someone’s life every day

Our Care Professionals are celebrated, supported and truly valued. As the CQC noted: “Staff felt extremely well supported and their achievements were celebrated.” That’s the environment you’ll be stepping into.

If you’re caring, reliable and ready to join a team that truly values you, we’d love to hear from you - Click I'm interested to apply, or call 01752 938220 to learn more.

  • Care experience desirable but not essential
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle (insured for Class 1 Business use)
  • Experience with dementia is valuable
  • Right to work in the UK - the role requires applicants to reside in the UK and have the right to work in the UK

Join Home Instead and become part of our family. We offer outstanding support, training, and guidance to help you build and grow a rewarding career in care.
