Job description

Our mission at Oura is to empower every person to own their inner potential. Our award-winning products help our global community gain a deeper knowledge of their readiness, activity, and sleep quality by using their Oura Ring and its connected app. We've helped millions of people understand and improve their health by providing daily insights and practical steps to inspire healthy lifestyles.

Empowering the world starts with living our values and empowering our team. As a quickly growing company focused on helping people live healthier and happier lives, we ensure that our team members have what they need to do their best work — both in and out of the office.

As Program Manager, Data Transformation, you will run the day-to-day program engine that turns Oura's business data into governed, trusted, decision-ready metrics. You will work inside the Data Transformation program, alongside the Staff Program Manager, and own the delivery rhythm for your assigned data domains: intake, prioritization, tracking, ownership, certification, and reporting. Early focus areas include Hardware and Supply Chain, where the need for structure is greatest.A core part of the job is metric certification and intake discipline. You will enforce the three-path model for every request and metric: Directional (fit for use, fast), Governed (executive, board, investor, or external numbers, with a certification path), and Not ours (operational or application work rerouted to the owning business team). You will also drive the work itself, including sprints where they help, so certification and delivery commitments actually land.Hardware and supply chain data, for example, spans manufacturing, quality, logistics, sourcing, planning, and new product introduction. This role connects those teams to Data Engineering and Analytics so that the numbers executives, finance, and auditors rely on (for example warranty rate, click-to-delivery, and yield) have one definition, one owner, and a clear path from directional to governed to certified. This role is ideal for a program manager who is comfortable in ambiguity, can read a data pipeline diagram as easily as a project plan, and likes bringing structure to fast-moving, cross-functional work.

What You Will Do:

  • Take business metrics from informally tracked to fully certified, each with a locked definition, a single accountable owner, and documented lineage and controls
  • Make sure every key metric in your domains has a clear owner and approver, and keep that ownership current as the business changes
  • Triage incoming data requests by their intended use and level of rigor, and route work that belongs to other teams to the right place
  • Run a structured intake process with clear priorities, business justification, and reliable response times
  • Drive cross-functional programs to completion across Data Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, Hardware, and IT, using agile practices where they help
  • Keep program plans accurate and visible, with named leads, dates, and status that stakeholders can trust
  • Track data issues and metric regressions through to resolution, and support documentation for internal and external audit
  • Communicate progress and data health clearly to senior leaders, and drive adoption of standardized metric definitions

This is a hybrid role out of our San Francisco office.

What you'll bring

  • 5 to 8 years of experience in program management, technical program management, or business operations, including time supporting data, analytics, or operations teams
  • Experience running cross-functional programs with many stakeholders and competing priorities, without formal authority
  • Experience with metric governance or controls work: definitions, ownership, documentation, and formal sign-off
  • Comfortable working in Databricks or a similar lakehouse: can navigate the catalog, read a SQL query or model to understand how a metric is computed, and spot-check numbers against source tables
  • Working understanding of data pipelines and transformation layers (dbt or equivalent): can follow lineage from source system to reported number and explain where a metric is computed
  • Experience with data quality controls: defining validation tests, reading test results, and tracing failures to root cause
  • Comfort holding a process line with senior stakeholders, including redirecting requests, while keeping relationships intact
  • Hands-on experience with work tracking tools such as Jira, and with running sprints or lightweight agile cadences
  • Clear written and verbal communication, including status reporting for senior audiences

Nice to have:

  • Experience with hardware, manufacturing, quality, logistics, sourcing, or supply planning
  • Background in consumer hardware, wearables, medical devices, or another regulated hardware business
  • Exposure to financial reporting, SOX-style controls, audit preparation, or IPO readiness
  • Experience at a high-growth or pre-IPO company
  • Experience working with distributed teams across US and European time zones
  • Comfort using modern AI tooling to speed up analysis, documentation, and reporting
