Overview:

Seeking a Senior Full Stack / Product Engineer to join the core team, a greenfield product built for operational excellence in complex, compliance-driven environments. This is a ground-floor opportunity to shape a modern, AI-enhanced platform from its earliest stages.

As a Product Engineer, you'll own the complete cycle: understanding their problems, designing solutions, building features, and measuring impact. You'll work directly with our Tech Lead and product leadership, bridging the gap between user needs and technical implementation. This isn't a role where you execute handed-down specs, you'll drive what gets built and why.

You'll work with a lean, high-output team using a modern stack (TypeScript, Vue, PostgreSQL, PowerSync) with offline-first architecture, event-driven patterns, and AI-enhanced workflows.

Your focus will be on shipping features that solve real problems, iterating based on feedback, and helping define the product direction.

This role reports directly to the Tech Lead and is ideal for engineers who care as much about user outcomes as technical elegance.

What You'll Do:

• Own problems, not just features: Understand user workflows, identify pain points, and determine what to build (not just how to build it)
• Drive product decisions: Work directly with stakeholders and end-users to validate assumptions, gather requirements, and prioritize ruthlessly
• Ship complete solutions end-to-end: From user research to production deployment, you own the entire feature lifecycle
• Build full stack: Implement features across Vue.js frontend, Node.js backend, and PostgreSQL database
• Design pragmatic solutions: Balance technical quality with speed to market; make intelligent trade-offs based on user impact
• Leverage AI to multiply impact: Use AI development tools and integrate AI capabilities where they genuinely improve user workflows
• Measure and iterate: Define success metrics, instrument features, analyze usage data, and continuously improve based on real-world feedback
• Shape product direction: Your voice matters in roadmap discussions; advocate for users and push back when priorities don't align with user value
• Establish product-engineering culture: Help define how we work, how we validate ideas, and how we ship as part of the founding team

 What you have:

 Technical Foundation:

• 8+ years of professional software development experience (note: less emphasis on pure years, more on breadth)
• Strong full-stack skills with TypeScript: modern frontend framework (Vue, React, or Svelte)and Node.js backend
• Solid database skills with PostgreSQL or similar: schema design, queries, and basic optimization
• Experience building and shipping REST APIs
• Comfortable with Docker, CI/CD, and cloud deployment (AWS preferred)
• Familiarity with offline-first patterns, event-driven architectures, or distributed systems concepts

Product Mindset (The Critical Differentiator):

• End-to-end ownership: You've owned features from conception through post-launch iteration, measuring success and improving based on data
• Comfort with ambiguity: You can start with "users are struggling with X" and figure out both what and how to build
• Strong communication: You can explain technical trade offs to non-technical stakeholders and translate business needs into technical solutions
• Bias toward shipping: You value learning from production over perfecting in development; you're comfortable with iteration
• AI-augmented productivity: You actively use AI tools to ship faster and focus on higher-leverage work

Experience:

• Track record of shipping features that users actually adopted and used.
• Experience working closely with product managers, designers, or directly with end-users
• Operated in early-stage or fast-moving environments where you wore multiple hats
• Bonus: Experience in regulated or compliance-heavy industries (healthcare, finance, logistics

Strong Nice-to-Have’s:

• Experience conducting usability testing, or product discovery
• Background with PowerSync, ElectricSQL, or similar offline sync technologies
• Knowledge of LangChain, LangGraph, or AI agent frameworks
• Experience with CQRS, event sourcing, or domain-driven design
• Exposure to Keycloak, enterprise auth systems, or multi-tenancy patterns
• Understanding of job queues (Graphile Worker, BullMQ) or vector databases (pgvector)
