The Opportunity
We are working with a leading global technology and consulting organisation that is expanding its Security Architecture capability across Health, Public Sector, Defence and Central Government.
This is an opportunity for an experienced Technical Security Consultant / Security Architect to work on complex, high-profile programmes, providing technical security leadership from architecture and design through to implementation.
You will work across a broad range of security challenges, collaborating with architects, engineers, delivery teams and senior stakeholders to ensure security is embedded throughout the technology lifecycle.
What You'll Be Doing
  • Act as a senior Security Architect and technical authority across a portfolio of projects and services.
  • Lead security architecture reviews and provide expert guidance on secure-by-design principles.
  • Assess and advise on cloud, network, infrastructure and application security controls.
  • Review complex technical solutions against security, regulatory and business requirements.
  • Conduct and support threat modelling, risk assessments and vulnerability assessments.
  • Provide technical oversight of security testing and penetration testing activities.
  • Support vulnerability management and help teams prioritise and remediate security risks.
  • Work closely with architects, engineers, testers and assurance teams to deliver secure solutions.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex technical security challenges.
  • Mentor and support other security practitioners.
  • Contribute to the development of technical security standards and best practice.
  • Communicate complex security risks and recommendations to both technical teams and senior stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
You'll have significant experience in one or more of the following:
  • Security Architecture
  • Security Engineering
  • Cloud Security
  • Network Security
  • Application Security
  • Penetration Testing
You'll also have:
  • Strong knowledge of modern cyber threats, attack techniques and security risks.
  • Experience applying Secure by Design principles across enterprise environments.
  • Strong understanding of cloud, infrastructure and enterprise security technologies.
  • Experience reviewing security architectures, risk assessments and security testing outputs.
  • The ability to translate complex technical security concepts into clear, business-focused recommendations.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience working within large and complex enterprise environments.
Government, Defence or wider Public Sector experience would be highly advantageous.
Desirable Experience
Experience across any of the following would be beneficial:
  • Red Teaming / Adversary Simulation
  • DevSecOps
  • Secure Software Development

  • Advanced Penetration Testing
  • Technical Security Assessments

Certifications

What's On Offer?
  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • London: up to £90,000 + car allowance.
  • Outside London: up to approximately £82,000.
  • Hybrid working across UK offices and client sites.
Security Requirements
This role requires BPSS and SC security clearance eligibility .
Applicants must have British nationality and normally require five years' continuous UK address history, with no periods of 30 consecutive days or more spent outside the UK during that period.
Flexibility and mobility are required, as the role may involve working from home, a UK office and client sites, typically with around three days per week spent away from home.
