Position Summary Aegis Aerospace, Inc. is seeking a NAVWAR Test && Integration Engineer to support the Joint Navigation Warfare Center (JNWC) at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, New Mexico. As part of the JNWC team, the selected candidate will support the Department of Defense's Navigation Warfare mission and help ensure positioning, navigation, and timing superiority for combatant commanders and joint forces. This position combines laboratory and field testing, modeling and simulation, scenario development, system integration, technical data analysis, and formal reporting to evaluate GPS, other Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS), and related PNT-dependent technologies under benign, degraded, denied, and deceptive conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and execution of NAVWAR and PNT laboratory, chamber, hardware-in-the-loop, and field-test events.
  • Develop test plans, scenarios, procedures, and data-collection methods based on customer requirements and mission objectives.
  • Coordinate test-event requirements involving site layouts, equipment, personnel, waveforms, schedules, and customer participation.
  • Develop, configure, and execute NAVWAR scenarios used to evaluate GPS, GNSS, and other PNT-dependent systems.
  • Evaluate system and receiver performance under benign, degraded, denied, and deceptive operating conditions.
  • Conduct modeling, simulation, and technical assessments using tools such as Systems Tool Kit, GIANT, Panacea, or comparable applications.
  • Operate signal analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and other laboratory equipment to conduct experiments and collect data.
  • Calculate, develop, modify, and generate waveforms and load signals onto applicable test equipment.
  • Analyze test, receiver, flight-verification, and modeling data and develop supporting analytical products.
  • Develop scripts, models, and software utilities supporting simulation, waveform generation, data processing, visualization, and technical analysis.
  • Debug, test, troubleshoot, and validate models, test configurations, hardware, software, and integrated system capabilities.
  • Perform hardware-in-the-loop testing on systems that may be affected by PNT or GPS denial and deception.
  • Support the integration and evaluation of RF hardware, software-defined radio components, PNT payloads, receivers, and related test equipment.
  • Contribute to the development and evaluation of resilient PNT technologies, small-form-factor payloads, and NAVWAR engineering solutions.
  • Support the design, fabrication, modification, or integration of test fixtures, mounting hardware, payload components, and other test equipment.
  • Translate customer and mission needs into technical requirements, test objectives, and system-level evaluation criteria.
  • Conduct technical reviews of vendor hardware, software, models, interfaces, algorithms, and other deliverables.
  • Work directly with JNWC customers and multidisciplinary technical teams to plan activities, resolve technical issues, and integrate solutions into operational applications.
  • Prepare technical reports, test documentation, analytical products, briefings, procedures, and training materials for JNWC and Department of Defense customers.
  • Present technical findings, test results, recommendations, and project status to customers and organizational leadership.
  • Develop reference materials and procedures that prepare analysts and engineers for laboratory, chamber, and field-test events.
  • Train or mentor less-experienced analysts and engineers when required.
  • Research current and emerging NAVWAR, PNT, modeling, simulation, signal-processing, and testing technologies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must possess and maintain an active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, aerospace engineering, systems engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics, or another related technical discipline.
  • At least three years of relevant engineering, test and evaluation, system integration, modeling and simulation, laboratory testing, field testing, PNT, RF, or technical data-analysis experience.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: NAVWAR, PNT, GPS/GNSS, RF systems, modeling and simulation, laboratory testing, field testing, hardware-in-the-loop testing, system integration, or technical data analysis.
  • Experience developing or executing technical test scenarios, collecting and analyzing data, and documenting results.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical problems involving hardware, software, models, test equipment, or integrated systems.
  • Ability to understand customer and mission needs and translate them into technical requirements or test objectives.
  • Experience preparing technical reports, test documentation, analytical products, or presentations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to learn unfamiliar technologies, software applications, laboratory equipment, and mission areas.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary engineering and analytical teams.
  • Ability to work on-site in a classified environment at Kirtland Air Force Base.
  • Ability and willingness to support laboratory and field-test activities and travel up to 10%.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics, or another related technical discipline.
  • Experience supporting the Joint Navigation Warfare Center or another Department of Defense NAVWAR or PNT organization.
  • Experience evaluating GPS or GNSS receiver performance under degraded, denied, or deceptive conditions.
  • Experience using Systems Tool Kit, GIANT, Panacea, or comparable modeling and simulation software.
