Technical Writer | Upper Marlboro, MD | On-site

The Role
- Create, update, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including schematics, manuals, and operational procedures.
- Develop and manage Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) to support project management and compliance.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and subject matter experts to gather and organize technical information.
- Ensure all documentation adheres to organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
- Review and edit existing documentation for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with current systems.
- Maintain records of revisions and manage version control to ensure accessibility and traceability.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Communications, English, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical writing, preferably within a technology-focused environment.
- Familiarity with industry-standard writing styles or government-specific guidelines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical information.
- Experience developing and maintaining POA&Ms or similar project plans.
- A current Top Secret clearance is required, with eligibility for SCI.
